WHAT WE DO
Prevention
We challenge systems of oppression and cultivate a culture of prevention through anti-violence education and public policy change.
Our work isn't in isolation. We work with more than 50 community partners to combat racism, sexism, ageism, ableism, homophobia, and xenophobia.
Advocacy
We walk alongside victims & survivors throughout their journey to healing. Compassionate, trauma-responsive advocates & volunteers connect victims with comprehensive legal, medical, and counseling services.
Our advocacy includes victims
of crime, trafficking and sexual violence, elders, children, and vulnerable adults
Outreach
Outreach is about making sure no one falls through the cracks. We reach out to serve, educate, and empower every victim by developing inclusive services.
We also provide staff trainings on victim issues, ethics, trauma, cultural humility, and underserved populations.
Crime Victim Services offers 9 distinct programs that serve thousands of people each year.
All of our programs and services seek to help victims meet the following needs with dignity and support:
To feel safe
To find healing — spiritually, emotionally, and physically
To seek justice, regardless of whether that involves the justice system
To recover what was lost in the form of restitution
